In the last couple of weeks we have received a lot of inquiries regarding brewery tours, this is entirely understandable considering that Father's Day is fast approaching. What better gift than to treat Dad to a trip around his favourite brewery and give him a few beers on top.
It is our goal to start back with brewery tours as soon as possible, however we do not want to offer brewery tour that may disappoint or be cancelled at short notice.
At Flack's we have suffered the same issues as most business's in recent months. Since the start of the pandemic we have lost several key members of staff (through normal and natural attrition) which we could not replace until the world started to get back to something like normal. We are pleased to say that we have been very successful in recruiting, including staffing of our brand new Taproom and we feel we now have the pieces in place to continue moving forward as a company.
As is the case with all new members of staff, there are training issues that have to be addressed. Management at Flack's have been working hard to make sure, during this extended period of change that our high standards continue to be met until such a time that we have met our staff training obligations.
Unfortunately, time spent dealing with these issues has not allowed for the time it takes to set up enjoyable brewery tours. We are not going to rush to get going and not get it right. We are not going to cobble together a watered down version of a brewery tour just to satisfy demand.
We have now arrived at the peak season for our trade customers as well as staff holiday season, with the additional pressures that arise at this time of year we do not feel able to launch a brewery tour program until at least the autumn. Much as we know this decision will cause disappointment, we feel this is the right approach.
Of course, although we cannot offer brewery tours, you can still visit the brewery and enjoy our beers right where they are made. Viist our Brewery Taproom, Fridays 4pm-8pm and Saturdays 12pm-7pm.
